Fortnite is the most streamed (and watched) game on Twitch.
Upwards of 650,000 (at peak times) tune in to watch Fortnite streams.
2) Fortnite beats Netflix
In the first quarter of 2018, Netflix had 125 million streaming subscribers worldwide. Fortnite topped 125 million registered players in less than a year since its release. More than 40 million people play the game at least once a month.
3) Fortnite don't like Cheaters
Epic Games is very active on banning the players found using cheats or cheating in Fortnite. They have even stirred up some major controversy by filing a lawsuit that involved a 14-year-old boy who was caught cheating.
4) Fortnite's Instant Success
Fortnite was released on July 2017, by the end of the month, Epic Games announced that they had already sold over 500,000 digital copies of Fortnite. The player count crossed over a million in the upcoming month.
5) PUBG gives a tough competition to Fortnite
Although Fortnite gathered a large following upon release, its popularity was was soon surpassed by that of a Steam title called Tencent's PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, commonly called PUBG. PUBG uses a battle royale concept which is inspired by the 2000 Japanese film Battle Royale. The goal of the game is to defeat all the opponents and be the last person standing.
6) Fortnite is available on almost all Platforms
If you wish to jump on the Fortnite Battle Royale game but don’t have a PlayStation, Xbox or a Gaming PC, you can still join in on the fun. In March 2018, Epic Games announced that their popular game will be soon available on mobile platforms via Android and iOS, and the Game is already out for Android and iOS but it is still limited to specific devices, because the game requires a lot of reaources.
7) How much Fortnite has made?
While Epic Games has not officially released the figure. The data and ratings giant Nielsen has estimated that in the calendar year 2018, Fortnite Battle Royale may have brought in almost or more than $2.5 billion in transactions.
